We are back for another exciting edition of Open House. This episode is round two of our LA/Italy team up, for two hours of quality deep, funk, tribal, tech and progressive. This time around is Joe Rodriguez, one of my long time favorites, and the Italian powerhouse, Stefano Noferini.
Joe Rodriguez D.J., art curator, artist, skateboarder, these elements combine to form his sounds, never being described as a one sound D.J. His sets span the globe and incorporate many genres to weave out a path of dirty disco, techno, and house along with elements of the weird and downright strange. Carving out a niche that has spanned his 15 year D.J. career, the Gravy, Spectrum, Slobb Disko along with F.A.M.I.L.Y. and Friends parties have solidified him as a welcome addition to any lineup from the dirty warehouses of Los Angeles to the lofts of New York City to the Chinatown area of Honolulu, Hawaii. Underground is his forte. He was the first person I ever saw play quality house music, a true inspiration.

Italian DJ and producer Stefano Noferini has played the world’s best clubs, hosts a radio show heard across the world, and has many house music hits under his belt – at least one of which you are likely to have gotten down to at some point last year as they are played by everyone from from Paul Van Dyk to Richie Hawtin, and from Carl Cox to David Guetta (who also charted it on his personal Beatport track list in December 2009). He’s also the founder of Deeperfect Records, widely recognized as a label dedicated to quality house music… And many of his productions have been supported by and released on solid international labels like Cr2 and Stealth Records – Roger Sanchez’s much lauded label.
Stefano is also an internationally recognised DJ and is always in demand, regularly playing the world’s best events to thousands of people such as at Tribal Gathering, Energy, May Day, Love Parade and Eurofestival. He has also wowed some of the most clued up venues in dance music, such as Pacha, Amnesia, Privilege El Divino and Space in Ibiza as well as BCM in Palma De Mallorca, Ambassada Gavioli in Slovenija, Colossos in Lloret De Mar, The Egg in London, Space in Mykonos, Zinc in Dubai , Cocoon Lounge in Bahrain, Level Lounge in Abu Dhabi, Diesel e Medieval Club in Romania, New Chic in Portugal, Tresor in Berlin and many more. As you have read, he’s an artist who is fully submerged in the dance scene, and, as a result, knows better than anyone how to work a floor, how to make a killer track. He is, then, more than worthy of your attention.

Italian DJ and producer Stefano Noferini is, for sure, a main protagonist in the international dance music scene: he’s played the world’s best clubs, hosts a radio show heard across the world, and has many house music hits under his belt – at least one of which you are likely to have gotten down to at some point last year as they are played by everyone from from Paul Van Dyk to Richie Hawtin, and from Carl Cox to David Guetta (who also charted it on his personal Beatport tracklist in December 2009).
He’s also the founder of Deeperfect Records, a label which has had success with the likes of “Till You Come Back” – finished with the powerful voice of Payton – and “I Don’t Want You Anymore” as well as with tracks like “Sex”, “Destination” and “Dollars”. Such success demonstrates his ear for a great record, something which has helped him when in the studio…
In recent months Stefano’s sounds have gone back to his roots and he’s re-discovering the tribal influences of his past. The stunning results are “Burundi” – a track which immediately sold well and hit the Top Ten of Beatport’s Main Chart and is a crossover house hit with groove which gets played by all the top international DJs, regardless of their genre. Many of his productions have been supported by and released on solid international labels like Cr2 who recently put out “Beautiful Life” (a track produced with Deborah French and Cozi Costi), and Stealth Records – Roger Sanchez’s much lauded label.
Stefano’s Club Edition radio show is broadcast in more than 15 countries around the world (www.clubedition.it) and showcases the finest electronic music. The Italian is also a much appreciated remixer and has added his magic touch to tracks from the likes of the legendary Masters At Works, Robbie Rivera, Bigfellas and many more … He’s also had hits with young and talented producer Matteo Marini as “House Music” – most recently their “Push N Pull” track is currently N°1 of Billboard Hot Dance Club beating out heavy weight major label artists such as David Guetta, Shakira, Pitbull, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce! and with his “Cool Summer” track released this year by Loud Bit Records which was N°1 on Beatport’s Main Chart and is one of the site’s best selling tracks of 2009.
